One second everyday

 Hello, I'm back with my 7th post. today I'm going to post a very special but also a interesting post that I started blogging after watching TED <one second everyday>. I will now show you 10 pictures of places where I went during the last summer holiday.

I went to the New York for my summer break but I stayed there for few months. After a week, I started travelling around United States of America. Because of the time difference between Hong Kong and America! Now I will share you about the best place in the U.S. that I went. It's New York and Boston!

 The first -place that I went in New York was the Statue of Liberty. I think she is the best statue that I've ever seen! It's large, pretty and just amazing! I was really impressed of the people who built it and how she represents the freedom of New York. The Statue of Liberty is originally made from Italy but they gave it to New York and this is how New York started to have freedom.

Do you know the main place in New York? Correct! It's Times Square. It\s full of restaurants, souvenirs, clothes and other interesting and pretty shops. I really enjoyed eating pizza and chicken there. I bought lots of souvenirs which was labeled I LOVE NEW YORK. Do you know what I also like in New York? It's the yellow taxis. The color is very bright and i like that strips on it. Do you have anything that you like about New York?

Arts are sooo pretty but especially the arts inside the Metropolitan Museum of Arts. By looking at the pictures, statues, and real stuffs. I learned lots of stuffs related to New York and the history of it. I saw a lots of arts related to freedom and wars. the arts of freedom  looked very peaceful with a big smile but the arts of wars were kind of scary but proud how New York won in a lots of wars.

Have you heard the Central park next to Metropolitan Museum of Arts? It's just a park but kind of different from an original park. This park is a park that shows fireworks and plays music (from a really famous orchestra) once a year. It's a famous place to take movies or take wedding pictures. It's a park but it’s beautiful so it's a popular place for taking pictures. I really like the picture of me that I took with a squirrel! You can also find wild animals there.

<United State's Capitol>

 This is the Capitol of America. A place where the presidents and the members of the assembly ask for their thoughts and their claims. I really like that they placed a person meaning the statue of freedom on the top of the building. It was built in the 1853 and was made for more than 10 years. While taking a look around the building, I saw all the American presidents and the statue of them. I think the Americans are very proud of their country that they had great presidents.

 As you know, this is the white house. I really like it because I really like the color white and I also like how its designed. The color white means clear and peaceful. Compared to the blue house in Korea, the white house looks like it was built in the current year and the Blue house looks like Giwajip. Doesn't mean that I don't like the Blue house. I like the blue house too because it kind of tells you the culture of Korea.

It's soooo high and scary! But it’s so cool when you arrive the top floor. It was the most memorable part of my life. I could feel the wind touching my skin and the clouds moving in front of me when they are moving. The most amazing part was that I could see the colorful night view of New York!

 Which college do you want to go? Have you think of going to Harvard? When i arrived to the Harvard station, I saw something different from what I thought it would be because there was a big huge green field lied down on the center of the school. The liberty was a size that nobody could imagined and I really liked the souvenirs that were sell  in front of Harvard! My brother and I determined to study hard and go to the Harvard University!

Persuasive Letter

Dear Dad,                                                                                                          

I am writing this letter because I believe smoking can cause serious health problems. For example you can get a lung, throat or a lip cancer. It can also cause you a heart attack and lead to a serious problem.
Many experts like Egg Yolks, for example agrees with me. I will explain the 3reasons for this to support my opinion.

The first reason is because smoking can give you a heart attack. There are statistics to show this is true.According to a Russian who dies last year, died because of smoking. He was smoke addicted an d got all his lung damaged.

The second reason is because your teeth will get discolored. There are facts to show this is true. It has been discovered that you have to have a big surgery for your teeth to get them clean again. It's possible you won't be able to use them again.(you'll have to use fake teeth)
The final reason is because cigarettes contain polonium 210. There is a data to show this is true. It is known that the radioactive substances that killed the Russian guy that was all in the news last year. That means you are sucking in pure radiation.

As you can see, smoking is a very scary thing to do. You still have time to stop smoking and take your time. You promised me like 2 years ago that you will stop but you still didn't. I hope you will stop smoking after you see my letter. Stop buying cigarettes! It is killing yourself!!!

Creative Writing

Hello everyone, I'm back with my 5th post. Today I'll post of a story of my own. The title is  <Nobody knows the Truth>. Hope you could enjoy reading it.

This is how the story starts.......

There was this girl called "Julie" who was one of the best in the Minjok Middle School. The reason why she was called the best was because she bullied all the students in her class without their parents or the teachers knowing it. Everyone in the Minjok Middle School was scared of her. Everyone knew when someone said her name. Kate was a new student to Julie's class, 9A. Kate didn't know anything about her ans tried to talk with her but Julie never answered back. During the lunch time, Kate decided to sit with the other students from her class. She sat with Lucy, John and Max.They told all about Julie and told what she did  to them and the other students. But fortunately, Lucy, John and Max never got into a fight with Julie, they just had a quarrel. After few months, the four friends became best friend and had a great time together. Kate started to go to a sports center to learn all sort of sports. She learned swimming, running, basketball, tennis, baseball, soccer.etc.But the thing was, Julie also attended to this sporting academy. Kate was scared and frightened every time she pasted her. Julie had any friend in the academy, same as Kate. So one day, when they were in the shower room together, Kate went up to her and said"I think you are very good at Sports. I think you know me, Right?I'm in the same class as you. Yes, I do know you" said Julie. "do you want to be friends with me?" asked Kate. And Julie said "sure!" with a loud clear voice. And then Kate noticed that Julie was a great friend. They played, studied together and became best friends. Everyone in their school thought them very strange. Lucy, John and Max was scared so they didn't play with Kate anymore. But Kate didn't really care about them. There was one thing that is similar to each other. they both sang very well so thy attended to the Voice America 2. They got in the finals ans sang"Just the Way you Are'. But Julie only got in the entertainment as a singer. Kate felt sorry for her but this was her only chance to be a singer.That's when Julie turned into a totally different person. All the people who was bullied by her suicide. But nobody knew who it was. Who made them, die. The students knew the truth but couldn't tell anyone because if they do, they would get bullied by Julie. Kate didn't know what was happening over the 1 year because she didn't go to school. After she knew what was going on in the school......

The Princess Bride-movie review

Hello everyone! Today on my 4th post, I would like to introduce a movie called”The Princess Bride”. This movie was made in the 1987s directed by Rob Reiner.

It is a fairy tale with swords, monsters, plays, giants, prince, princess, romance and some comedy. This a fairy tale told by a grandfather to his grandson.

The main characters are Buttercup, Westley, Vizzini, Fezzik, Miracle Max and prince Humperdinck.

It takes place in the farm at first place but mostly takes place in the forest of thieves and the castle.

The plot of this story is very funny and exciting. Now I will tell a summary about this story.There was a girl named"Buttercup" who lived in a farm house. Westley was a farm boy who worked in Buttercup's farm. But one day they fell in love. It was not just a love it was a true love. They wanted to marry but Westley didn't have any money so he left. He promised to come back. After 5 years when Buttercup was a bout to marry prince Humperdinck, She got kidnapped in the forest while riding a horse. She was took by the 3 kidnappers o the forest of thieves. The reason why they kidnapped her was because of her crown and the stuff(expensive) that will make money. But a man in black kept fallowing them with a boat and finally arrived to the cliff of insanity. They climbed up with a rope. They had to run away but the Man in black was following them with the rope that they were climbing. They cut the rope as soon as they went on the cliff.But fortunately he didn't fell. He held one of the rocks.Someone had to stay to fight with him so Indigo, one of the kidnappers stayed to fight with him. The man in black had a hard time climbing on so Indigo threw a rope to him. When he came on the cliff they started fighting. Th man in black didn't kill him but made him faint. Then quickly ran to save the princes. He made all the kidnappers faint and saved the princess. The man in black didn't tell the princess who he was so Buttercup pushed the man in black in the hill but then Buttercup also followed him to save him. As soon as the mask go off of his head she knew who he was. He was Westley. Then they noticed that the prince was following them so ran and ran until they went in the forest of thief. But they couldn't escape of the sliders from the Prince. The prince made as deal if Buttercup marrys him he won't kill Westley and let him go. So Buttercup followed the prince and Humperdink pretend to let Westley go but as soon as the prince and Buttercup left with a horse, Rugen kidnapped Westley. The prince didn't keep his secret. He took away 50 years of his life. Humperdinck got very mad at Buttercup and decide to kill her on the wedding night. Westley was almost died but Indigo and Fizzik brought him to miracle Max and asked for help. And then Westley came alive again but was hard to walk. When the prince was about to kill the princess, Westley came and saved Buttercup. The prince was supervised because he thought that Westley was dead. Vizzini, one of the kidnappers had to revenge to a guy named "Rugen" with 6 fingers who killed his father. For revenge he killed Rugen. You know what was funny about that part? He kept on saying"You killed my father prepare to die." He said like about 50 times so it was very funny.

Overall, I think the movie is very in interesting how it starts with a grandfather telling a story to his grandson. The genre of this story ids very interesting too. It's not just one genre its combined into many different genres.There are many characters who all have different personalities.I love the part when Miracle Max helped Westley live again because I thought Westley died but the story totally changed. I was quite surprised to know this movie was made int the 1987s because at that time it was hard to find actors and to make a movie.

While watching the movie, I learned that true love is never going to be separated and to not lose my hope for everything just like Miracle Max. He knew it was hard to make him alive again but He saved Westley. And also to keep promises to everyone.
